Landform Fengshui - The Dragon and Tiger

"唯女子与小人难养也" From the Analects of Confucius. 女子 and 小人 on the same side. 女人, 小人...

If you are thinking what you think I am thinking of, stop that thinking. Hands and legs up, I am in full support of 女子. I am not dumb. Not yet. There are few different interpretations of this quote and this is not going to be another attempt on the interpretation or understanding the Analects.

In Landform Fengshui (形家风水), from any reference point, the front is known as Vermilion Bird (朱雀), the back is known as Black Tortoise (玄武), the left side is known as Green Dragon (青龙) and finally the right side is known as White Tiger (白虎). They are the four mythological creatures appearing not only in Fengshui but in Chinese constellations as well. Let's talk about the Green Dragon and White Tiger today.

Simply put, the side of the Green Dragon (left side) needs to be longer/compact, relative to the side of the White Tiger (right side), where it needs to be more shorter/spacious. This is one of the very basic principle of Landform Fengshui. For easy understanding, consider the example of a simple office, where the desk is the focus.

From the perspective of the desk, the right side is more spacious compared to the left side. Furthermore, think of the the walls on the left and right of the desk as akin to the arms of the desk. The left arm, up to the point of the room door (Qi Mouth), is longer than the right arm. This is an ideal desk placement.

The Green Dragon is representative of the Male (男人) and the White Tiger is representative of the Female (女人). The Green Dragon is also representative of the Benefactors (贵人), whereas the White Tiger is representative of the Antagonists (小人).

Hence, if the Green Dragon - the left side of one's house (Benefactors) - is weaker, e.g., shorter, relative to the White Tiger - the right side of one's house (Antagonists) - one is more susceptible to the negative influence of antagonists.

If the side of the White Tiger (女人), is afflicted by Malefic Qi (煞气), e.g., "Arrow Sha (尖角煞)", the Female is more susceptible to the negative Malefic Qi influences. So yes, Female and Antagonist are on the same side, the White Tiger, but no, they are not in an equality relationship. 女人 is not equal to 小人. Just like Benefactors are not necessarily Male. 不管男人女人，只要是贵人，就是好人，我都热烈欢迎.
